Wealth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As with most things in Victorian England, a character&#8217;s starting wealth is reflective of their Social Class.\u00a0 In general terms starting wealth is Discretionary Income (What is left AFTER expenses are paid.)<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these funds each character will start with a wardrobe.\u00a0 Typically a Work Day set of clothes and a &#8216;Sunday Best&#8217; set.\u00a0 Bear in mind that the quality, style and condition of the clothes is not going to be the same for a member of the Working Class versus those of the Middle Class and especially the Upper Middle Class.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally each character may select a number of Accessory Items from their Social Class Accessory List.\u00a0 These items represent things that the character has accumulated in life to date.\u00a0 Purchases, gifts, inheritances, found, stolen, won, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"font-family: Starting Wealth Chart<\/strong><br \/>\nThroughout Victorian Dreadful money is recorded as Pounds\/Shillings\/Pence\u00a0 with the abbreviations of <strong>\u00a3<\/strong> for Pounds\u00a0 <strong>s<\/strong> or <strong>S<\/strong> for Shillings and <strong>d<\/strong> or <strong>D<\/strong> for Pence.\u00a0 So, <strong>\u00a3\/S\/D<\/strong>\u00a0 Thus <strong>5\/6\/2<\/strong> is read as 5 pounds 6 shillings 3 pence.\u00a0 In the case of the starting wealth, <b>\u00a3d10\/2d6\/-<\/b>\u00a0 is 1D10 die roll of \u00a3 and 2D6 dice worth or shillings with no pence.\u00a0 And <b>\u00a32-3\/ d10\/1d10<\/b> is 1 or 2 pounds and a 1D10 die of shillings and a 1D10 die of pence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a
